Elgin, IL asked in Divorce for Illinois

Q: How do I find a legal-aid, pro-bono lawyer in IL

I am trying to get a divorce, I do not have a lot of money do to my marital situation. My husband left me 3 1/2 years ago and moved to PA. Due to the mental stress of what went on during that time, I lost my job and haven't been able to have a full time permanent job since Dec 2009. Also a year before he left I signed for a 2006 Jeep Cherokee, he kept up the payments for a year after he left and then stopped making the payments which through me into bankruptcy.

He won't file for divorce himself which he told me he was going to do, and he won't file married jointly for our taxes. I would like to get out of this marriage as soon as I can. Thank you for your help.
