Colorado Springs, CO asked in Family Law for Colorado

Q: Decree got Finalized in CO other party living in TX during the time of. I moved to GA since then...do the (UCCJEA)apply

Other party was in the military and his original residency is VA. He pcs'd to TX from CO during our court processing (2011), once the court finalized the parenting decree I then had to move GA due to my husband being in the military.(2011) So other party decided to move back to CO(2013) after he got out of the military (DEC 2012)?? do CO still have jurisdiction?

A: Yes. Colorado still has jurisdiction. You could ask Colorado to divest itself of modification jurisdiction and try to transfer case to GA. However, with him being in Colorado, there is a strong argument case should stay here.
