A: If your expenses exceed your income, you can probably file bankruptcy. That is the primary question. Your financial circumstances must be gone over by someone who does bankruptcy to find out if you can file a chapter 7 or whether you must file a chapter 13.

You should also examine is your personal property is exempt - would hate to find out your gonna lose your car or bank accounts. Lastly, you should owe more than you can pay.
