Q: Father is behind $9500 in child support, I'm thinking about sending the child to live with him. Will I have to pay him?

The child is out of control and I can't handle her anymore

A: You should come to an agreement with him about how much credit you will get towards any child support you might owe. You have to calculate the child support that you would owe to him, and basically agree that you will not pay because he has gotten so far behind. What you need to do is get to an attorney about this problem. I charge a nominal amount for handling situations like this, when the parties can agree upon every issue, and are willing to sign a written agreement concerning what is to be done.
