New Port Richey, FL asked in Family Law for Florida

Q: How do I go about getting my child back from my husband who took our son and refuses to let me know anything about him?

I've called the law and they can do nothing. They said go to the court house and file for temporary custody. I went to the court house and they told me they can't help me. I have no money and bay area legal said it could take months to just get a lawyer through them. I don't even know if my child is safe!

A: You need to borrow money to get an attorney. Take notes about what has been going on, soon after it happens. Continue to insist upon seeing the child. Get counsel.

A: You have to retain private counsel and file a petition for emergency custody. Find a way.
