Q: Me and my child's father are unmarried, can I move out of the state without his permission?
I don't know what rights he has at birth because he is on the birth certificate. We have no one to watch our kid here so I want to move home where all my family is so I can actually better myself. The father already has said he doesn't agree to the move but the living conditions are poor and he does nothing to help.
A: This question was asked too long ago for an answer to be of any use to you now. He basically does not have any rights unless and until he files a paternity action to get those established.
