Coral Gables, FL asked in Immigration Law for Florida

Q: I abandoned my cruise ship job in 1988 while stopped at the Port of Miami. I'm Danish. Can I remain legally?

I legally walked off the ship into town during my off work time, but chose not to return. I gave birth to a boy in Miami that same year.
