Q: I signed as guarantor on lease renewal. My daughter decided she wanted to move and didn't sign tenant am I liable

Apartment states they only need guarantors signature

A: A lawyer would have to read the document you signed. However, as a general rule, if you signed a document stating that you would pay the rent if your daughter failed to pay, then you would normally be liable.
