West Palm Beach, FL asked in Family Law for Florida

Q: My daughter is in the middle of a divorce.

They own a lawn service and the soon to be ex- husband has asked his customers to send payment to a different address than the one established when the business was opened. Is this legal? He has also taken and hidden one of the pieces of equipment that belongs to the business and that money is still owned on. He refuses to tell anyone where it is. My husband used his credit card to pay for the equipment. If his name doesn't appear on anything related to the house, does he have a right to it?

A: The business is a marital asset and needs to be valuated and divided. Use of a lawyer is recommended in your case.
