Mary Esther, FL asked in Family Law for Florida

Q: My ex went from making 60 to 140k. My son has now T1D .I make 15k. Can I raise child support ?

My son's meds are expensive. He hasn't seen his 2 kids in over 2 years and when I talked to him about more child support he told me that he isn't gonna support my life style...??????....due to my son's T1D my ability to work more are almost impossible. When his blood sugars are high I automatically have to pick him up from school. When his feet hurt I have to pick him up etc

A: Based on these facts yes you would qualify for an increase in child support.

Use of a lawyer is recommended.
