Maitland, FL asked in Family Law for Florida

Q: How long does a child support order take in Orange County FL

We are un-married parents of a 9 year old. We established paternity in 2008 while separated, we reconciled shortly thereafter, and the case was dropped but the DNA testing results had already been obtained by the State of Florida. We have again recently split up. I have custody and the father does not. If I open a new support case and our employment information is the same, the only change is we have increased incomes over the 2008 case. How long does a child support order typically take. I will insist on an income deduction order as he is bad at managing funds and would buy concert tickets before thinking of his child.

A: You know what? Asking questions on an internet forum like this is not going to get you the actual hands on work that needs to be done for you by an attorney. My suggestion is that you hire one to get this done as swiftly as possible instead of waiting on the state to do it.
