Tallahassee, FL asked in Family Law for Florida

Q: I pay support for my 2 sons, but one of them lives with me now, what should I do?

About 3 months ago, my eldest son came from Orlando to live with me because he wasn't doing so well in school, of course through agreement with his mother. The DoR garnishes my wages for child support and it is given to her and because of that she came up with the idea of giving half of that back so I am able to support him...that was a big mistake because I have not received anything from her since he's been here. What steps do I need to take to make this situation fair?

A: You have a child with you full time then you need to petition the court to change the order. Use of a lawyer is recommended.
