Q: My sister doesn't take care of her 2yr old daughter I do, she's pregnant now and I don't want the same for this new baby

Neither fathers helps and I can't do anything without her being there.So my question is how can I(the aunt) get custody of them because she doesn't help with anything (financially) and leaves when she wants to,comes home hours after midnight, and she just don't care.I need custody of them NOW!

A: You can file a petition for temporary custody of minors by extended family, but you need the consent of the parents. If you cannot get consent, then you would have to prove by clear and convincing evidence that the parents are unfit. Go see a family lawyer about this.
