Orlando, FL asked in Child Support for Florida

Q: I missed my motion to abate and set arrears. How can I get another court date?

Child support is being abated because the child has resided with me for three years while the mother lives in another state. The amount that they are taking out for the arrears is making it difficult for me to live and take care of my children. I would also like to know how to reduce the arrearage because it is very high due to circumstances I beleive I am not at fault for, such as one of the main reasons being me being put on Child Support in several different states due to the mother moving and putting me on wherever she moved. Thank you.

A: You need to see an attorney about cleaning up this mess. Short and simple that is what you need to do. The attorney will have to spend hours, like I usually do, trying to sort it all out and giving you the appropriate credit.
