Asked in Divorce for Florida

Q: can I say who my ex can have watch kids when with him since he leaves my kids with his boss with no notification?

My soon to be ex husband we are going thru a divorce. He currently lives at his boss house of a couch. He has visitation with them. when my daughter is sleeping he leaves her in the house with his boss and takes my son out fishing on a boat. Is he allowed to do that or should I be notified that someone else is watching the kids, do I have a say?

A: What you need to seek is what we call a "right of first refusal" and it means basically that if he is going to be away from a child or the children for more than a few hours, he has to give you the opportunity to have the child or children.

A: He can do what he wants unless you have a right of refusal in your time sharing agreement.

Use of a lawyer is recommended.
