Riverview, FL asked in Family Law for Florida

Q: My daughter is 9 I have seen her 3 times. Found out her mom was in rehab & her parents took custody. Now she wants CS

I took a test and she is mine. But because I did not want to be with the mom. She kept her from me even though I sent child support for a yr. So I stopped. I tried to contact over the yrs with no response. My mom finally was able to get her a couple of times. I did meet up with her and tried to get back together but she was still in contact with heroin dealers. So I ended it. Now she will not let me see her and is threaten filing child support. What do I need to do? I miss my daughter. But I am afraid to send her money. She keeps saying I need to move there if I ever want to be in her life. If she does file will they contact me first so I can appear in court over this before they just say you have to pay this amount. I want to make sure I get the right to visitation, etc. Thank you
