You should contact an experienced criminal attorney to discuss your warrants (as well as the underlying charge) and to make arrangements to resolve (i.e. quash/recall) your warrants and begin the process of handling your underlying criminal case.

Law enforcement departments generally have different procedures and regulations for how their officers/detectives carry on and off-duty...generally, most officers off-duty carry "concealed" rather than "open-carry" as you describe. Procedures, regulations and rules vary, however.
