I'm a little confused as to your question. I will take a stab at it though. No the prosecutor does not need to present physical evidence at the preliminary hearing. The prosecutor need only present enough evidence to show probable cause at the prelim.

Unfortunately, once you have called the prosecutor, it is up to the prosecutor to decide whether or not to bring the case. You can certainly inform the prosecutor that you do not want to press forward with the case, he/she may listen to you.
