Yes because 14 year olds cannot consent according to the law. It's only a matter of time before she or an angry parent calls the police on you so it would be wise to quit having sex with minor girls. You risk being charged with a sex crime and then possibly having to register as a sex... View More

It doesn't matter what his parents approved of and I am sure they didn't "approve" of their son being a teen father. You could be charged criminally--that is a possibility but someone would have to complain to the police first and then the state's attorney's office... View More

There can be a lot of things you could be charged with--she is a minor and I hope you aren't having sex with a minor. Ditch the girlfriend--if she or her parent's ever get mad at you and call the police, then you can be in a world of trouble

Have you even gone to court on this yet? Go to court and show them your insurance (even if you got it after the fact)--the prosecutor may be willing to dismiss or change the citation

I think each court calculates costs a little differently but the total amount including fines, fees, and court costs and only monthly probation or supervision fee is probably thousands of dollars

I'm 18 and my girlfriend is 16. I live in Illinois, would it be illegal for us to have sex? Because while the age of consent is 17 in Illinois, the age of consent in the state where my girlfriend lives is 16. How does this work?

If that's the age of consent and you are both willing parties, I don't know what anyone could do about it..... You are still very young so I caution you. PLease be careful--there are several places you can get birth control (some can even last for years!).
