I'm sorry this happened to you. Law enforcement usually contracts with a towing company of their own choice to handle towing whenever a situation like this occurs.

If you had an attorney when you first went to court, you should contact that attorney for help. If you didn't have an attorney, you have a few options.

If you have been compliant with probation and color code, you can try writing the judge a letter by sending it to the clerks office...

If your husband had an attorney when he pleaded guilty to the original UPOCS, you should contact that attorney. Defendants who are placed on Community Corrections supervision are in the custody of ADOC, so "revocation" and violations work differently than probation if he has been on... View More

A lawyer would need more information before answering the question specific to your case, however, if multiple charges arise from a traffic stop, you can be convicted of those additional charges even if the ticket that was the reason for the stop is dismissed. In these situations, it's best to... View More

If he has warrants for failure to pay traffic tickets, it is not the clerks who can waive the requirement that he turn himself in. In order to handle the warrants for you, the best outcome is usually obtained by hiring a lawyer in the county where the warrants are from to help you navigate this... View More

Without knowing all the facts, your employer can ask that you do any task within your job description. Job descriptions are usually broad. If you are paid hourly or salary (rather than on commission), then he likely isn't required to pay you any extra bonus for this work.

Q: Can I not receive unemployment if I was intimidated by boss to the point it was in better for my health to quit?

I exhausted intermittent FMLA (which I was on for depression and anxiety due to relationship with boss) before coming to this decision. While I was on FMLA it was discussed with HR and there was no resolution to help my worklife become better.

After you have exhausted your FMLA, your employer is not required to extend any more leave under the FMLA for you. However, if you have an ADA claim, you may request your employer make a reasonable accommodation for you. Not all employers are required to follow the ADA, so it's in your best... View More

Q: At what point should you ask for your right to speedy trial? If it is a right why do you have to ask for it??
Kate Furek

You can ask for a speedy trial at any time after arraignment. If you have not retained a lawyer by the time of your arraignment, now is the time to do so.

In every case, it's important to notify the court that you are asserting each and every right you want the court (the Judge) to be aware of.

If you are charged with a crime that carries the possibility of a jail sentence (any felony or misdemeanor), it is in your best interest to hire a lawyer.
