Yes, it's an asset. You need to request relief from bankruptcy to proceed against the limits of the insurance policy. Also, the contractor's insurance policy does not provide coverage for shoddy work. It does provide coverage if your property is damaged by shoddy work, e.g., you have... Read more »

You have an obligation to cooperate with your insurer. If you don't, it could refuse to defend or indemnify you.

If you are hurt, see a doctor. Then contact an attorney. If you don't need medical attention, you probably don't have a case worth pursuing. You have 6 months to file a Tort Claim with the City, which is a requirement before filing a lawsuit. When you talk to an attorney, be prepared.... Read more »

A wet floor sign that is permanently displayed is not a warning. However, that doesn't seem... Read more »

If you get another similarly athletic dog, get a taller fence. Once your dog jumps your fence and is unsupervised, it is a menace to pedestrians, neighbors, children and other dogs who are lawfully on their own property, or using the sidewalks. You can and will be sued for any harm it causes, and... Read more »

If his injuries are serious, then yes, he has a case. If it is only cuts and bruises, then no. Regardless, you can make a complaint to the manufacturer, and to the Consumer Protection Agency.
