You need to hire a good family law attorney who can fight for your assets and show the court how these assets were paid off and when. during a child support agreement in texas the mother had moved out state and I was never informed

The final decree should contain language that requires the mother to notify you of any change of address. Notifications of address and phone number changes are typically standard in temporary orders as well. If the mother has moved, she may be in violation of a court order. You should let your... Q: My wife's mother is 82, she's has 60K debt in credit cards, owns nothing whatsoever. is my wife responsible upon dying?

She own's no real estate, no financial holdings, no car - nothing! nothing in her bank account and nothing in her will. Rents a small apartment. She's on Medicare and Medicaid.

Can the card holders go after my wife to pay here debt?

In Texas, if your wife is not an authorized user on any of these debts, she is not responsible for them when your mother dies.

It's extremely important for you to file an answer in a case like this, so they do not get a default judgment against you. For this amount of money, it's probably not cost-effective to hire an attorney, but if it was for a larger amount, definitely seek counsel.
