Q: How can I find out if a person has already been sued for the same thing in the past.

I tripped on a side walk that was pushed up by a tree root. I was told this person has already been sued for this same thing in the same spot. I need to find out. How can I do that?

I suggest you call the local county superior court. You could also search through the court's website, and there is a... View More

Contact a personal injury lawyer in your community. Ask that person if they have sued Wal-Mart before. This is critical because Wal-Mart never pays until you sue it, take depositions of employees who saw the fall or failed to clean up whatever you slipped in, and force it to turn over the... Consult a criminal attorney in your community and ask how much he or she charges to seek an expungement of the conviction from your record. It is not cheap. Typically, the amount of time that has passed since the conviction with you getting in any more trouble is a factor as is that you committed... View More

Depending on whether it was reasonable to wear heels in those conditions. If you were treading through the grass, mud, or snow then probably not much you can do about a recovery. It would be unsafe to wear heels in those conditions. But, if you were not the only person wearing heels at a... View More
