Yes there are many steps you should take before you file a lawsuit. You need to get to a doctor. You may need physical therapy and/or an MRI depending on your injuries. You can always settle your case and dismiss the lawsuit. Do you have an attorney? If so, talk to him or her about settling and dismissing.
