Court order says they are allowed... View More

You could request that visits be supervised by someone else in the family or request that a neutral third party act as supervisor.

Q: I'm wanting to know what "cause stricken" means with DHS pursuing a noncustodial parent who has not paid child support.

The noncustodial parent does not have custody and has not paid anything since it was ordered by court during the divorce finalization.

Would have to see what you are taking about but, if a hearing for instance was stricken that means basically that the hearing was cancelled.

It depends on what the court has ordered. If you are not sure just take your court documents to an attorney and they can take a look and explain what you are dealing with. Best of luck!

Q: Can a former Judge who was recently over my childs custody case. Resign as Judge, and then turn around and be a partner

With the mothers Attorney against me? Is that not a conflict of interest?

answered on Jun 12, 2021

Same answer. The attorney and the former judge will probably know and have worked with many of the other local attorneys. Not necessarily a conflict.

You should have your own attorney and then you won't have to worry about who is representing the other party.

Of course she can. It can be described as pretty much this simple: Parents/legal guardians make the rules, children follow those rules.

If the parties are not married and there is no court order for custody/visitation, then the mother has custody.

Don't wait until there is a problem to take action. Hire an attorney NOW, as in first thing tomorrow morning so you can secure legal rights to the child.

Grandparent visitation is possible in Oklahoma. It is always easier if it can be done by agreement. I would suggest you meet with an attorney for a detailed consultation to learn your options and how best to proceed. Best of luck to you.
