Q: Would getting a ticket for no registration on a rare 22yr old privite Mercedes violate my constitutional right?

Constitutional Law § 101 all citizens be free to travel throughout the length and breadth of the United States uninhibited by statutes, rules, or regulations which unreasonably burden or restrict this movement.

The constitutional right to travel is not an absolute right and is subject to reasonable regulation by the government. Requirements for vehicle registration and proof of insurance are generally considered to be reasonable regulations to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers on public roads.... Read more »

Make sure you get the claim number. Let them know of the attorney's name and information if... Read more »

More information is needed before one can render an assessment of whether or not the concrete subdivision sign was improperly placed and whether or not it was a legal cause of the collision. If you posted this because of a traffic ticket issued to your daughter, then you might want to take photos... Read more »

Yes, it is illegal, however my experience is many people do travel in heavy storms with their flashers/hazard lights operation because it is believed to be safer. I am not sure if that's true, but it is illegal.

That's 2 different scenarios with 2 different answers (most likely). The operator of the vehicle (and not the owner of the vehicle) would be responsible for any tickets issued assuming the ticket is issued to the driver. Likewise, the operator of the vehicle (and not the owner of the... Read more »

The back of your ticket usually has a number you can call to ask about payment of the ticket and cost. That said, I do not recommend that you pay the ticket without contacting a traffic ticket/criminal defense attorney in the jurisdiction the ticket was issued----many times local knowledge and... La R.S. 32:64 is the general speed law. https://legis.la.gov/Legis/Law.aspx?d=88494 Sometimes, one may cite La R.S. 32:61. I would recommend that you contact a traffic ticket attorney in your area to discuss this specifically and what options exist.

I would not call the prosecutor and ask for a dismissal. If you hire an attorney, then if your attorney decided to do that, then I have no issue.
