Your father would need to seek out an elder care lawyer to map out a strategy to protect his assets from counting towards Medicaid eligibility. Nothing prohibits you from expressing your concerns to your relative's doctor, but be prepared for the doctor to terminate your relative as a patient, and then your relative becoming very upset as well as desperate to obtain the prescription meds he/she was just cut off from, if that happens.
