A Massachusetts attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. The private adjustor gave you good advice. A Massachusetts attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. I'm sorry for your ordeal with the injury and cancer treatments. One option is to try to apply online - that could be quicker than the paper route. Another is to contact them and ask for a location of an... View More

Q: Was in a car accident, insurance company didn’t cover me because they came to the conclusion I was doing gig work.

At the time of the accident, I was actually on my own time, not having any active orders assigned to me by Instacart. The app was opened in the background on my phone, but I wasn’t paying any attention to it. I was heading back to the supermarket to use the facilities when the accident occurred.... View More

A Massachusetts attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. Carriers can consider gig work to be non-personal use. An attorney could advise better with a copy of the carrier's denial. Good luck

Q: Why don't life insurance prices vary by state?

Do different states not have different regulations or business costs? Is it because life insurance companies cannot discriminate on geography?

This is something an insurance professional would know better than an attorney. The industry relies more on individual factors such as age, gender, health factors (history of disease, smoking, alcohol, etc.), and activities/line of work, etc. An insurance professional could offer a more... No. Insurance carriers can drop insureds for a number of reasons - late payment, risk, claims, etc. You could double check with a local attorney for a second opinion. As for the driving record, it could be worthwhile to look into a defensive driving course to see how many points could be taken off,... View More

Your matter is more complicated than one where a simple "yes" or "no" would do as a answer. The ideal situation would be that if your settlement is in connection with an accident where you are represented by an attorney, to have them look into the validity of the lien for an... View More

One option is to seek insurance through a different carrier. If you need insurance and wish to avoid delays in obtaining coverage, valuable time could be lost in pressing the issue with the original carrier.

My parked car was involved in a hit and run accident. I do not have collision coverage so my insurance won't cover the damages. Unless her son stole it he would be authorized. Its baloney. Suggest you provide estimates for repair, file a complaint with the insurance commissioner. Depending on the nature of the denial you may have claims under

Sec. 93 A of the MGL.

Don't see why they should. You need to contact a member of the Mass Academy of Trial Lawyers, they give free consults. If it's property damage only, get an estimate, get a full statement of reasons for denial from your company, get a copy of your policy, consider complaining to the insurance commr.
