A Wisconsin attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a month. As a GENERAL matter, it might depend on what the rest of the terms of the guarantee outline as remedies for a consumer in the event of less-than-full satisfaction. Since Wisconsin law could govern consumer...Read more »
Basically, I want to purchase on-demand liability insurance for independent contractors that get jobs through my site and I want to know if it is illegal to make this purchase as if I am them if I have their consent in signature form.
A Wisconsin attorney could answer best, but your question remains open for three weeks. Insurance is generally governed by state laws, but as a general matter, if information falls through the cracks and the carrier raises a defense that they were not provided with accurate information as to a...Read more »
Yes, it is possible. You will want to review the Wisconsin LLC Law under "SUBCHAPTER XII MERGER; CONVERSION" - Here is the statute: https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/statutes/183/XII/1207. If the other company is not a Wisconsin LLC, the steps may be different, but every...Read more »
You posted this in Business Law, a logical choice, but that might be why it hadn't been picked up by an employment law attorney, who is really the person you want input from. You could repost and add Employment Law as a category. As a general legal premise for all areas of law, the practice of...Read more »
Signed an advertising deal with Wisconsin based company which I am now in the process of terminating by way of paying an early termination fee. My question is since they failed to inform me of my right to terminate and no where on the contract does it state it, do I have grounds for a complaint?... Read more »
Unfortunately, not every written contract is required to have a free "I've got second thoughts and want an early out" clause. In fact, you should be glad the contract even has an "early termination fee" clause, because that is not required everywhere either.
I signed contract in Ga with representative from a Wisconsin company. I am 22 and representative took me to fancy place and offered food/drinks I got caught up and signed a pretty bad deal. I will pay their early termination fee if have to but seems a little unfair. The salesperson told me that if... Read more »
Unless you signed the contract less than a week or ten days ago the "cooling off" clause has probably expired. Claiming to have been taken advantage of because the sales guy plied you with fancy food and expensive booze while he was convincing you to sign the "bad deal" will...Read more »
These businesses are supported financially by the others during the off season. They have a substantial amount of debt that is personal and the businesses. My father wants to file bankruptcy right away before trying to sell assets and my mother does not agree with him. He wants to keep one business... Read more »
This is such a complex question with so many variables that it is impossible to properly answer here. It depends on whose name and how assets and liabilities are held as to what the proper action. Each can file separately if necessary, but generally speaking both parties are best served by filing...Read more »
In Sept, we got a rough estimate from a local tree trimmer to remove 3 branches from a tree overhanging our home. He was too busy for such work at the time. We agreed to wait until he was free, then we would revisit the estimate and specify the specific work we were looking at. 5 months later,... Read more »
Based on your facts, it does not seem that you had a contract. A contract requires a meeting of the minds (i.e. exactly what work would be done, when and the cost). As I understand your situation, you wanted 3 limbs removed, which did not include one containing a woodpecker nest. You asked to...Read more »
I bought A drone from a company that has 2 US warehouses, but the main headquarters are in China. I bought the drone from the California Warehouse with US Currency and had it shipped to me in the US. The drone was defective and I was asked to ship my drone to Guangdong China for a refund. They said... Read more »

The rules are a bit different depending on whether your business is a Sole Proprietorship (Schedule C), a C-corporation, or S-Corporation. If you're like most taxpayers, you're probably using a Schedule C to report this to the IRS. In claiming business use of a vehicle, strict rules...Read more »
I work for a small convenience store owner who is being discriminated against by the city. We were told we did not have a valid license to sell alcohol or tobacco products, but we go through licensed vendors, who wouldn't be able to deliver if we did not hold valid licensing. We accept EBT and... Read more »
