No, you should not have to turn over your fire arm if you have you permit on you and you are not suspected for a crime. Did the officer demand you turn over the fire arm?

No your license should not be suspended automatically. The system should have caught up shortly after you paid the fine.

It should. Get receipts for payment - and make a copy of the check. The fine may have accumulated penalties and interest over the years so you should check on that.

Q: I am 17 and got my first ticket for speeding, going 52 in a 30. Will my liscence be suspended? If so for how long?

The officer did not mention losing my liscence to me he just said I seem like a good kid and he didn't want to do this to me but he just mentioned that I have to pay the ticket which is $196. Also is the ticket fine normal? Because it seems very high

No you will not lose your license - you just need to pay the ticket. The fine does not appear to be unreasonably high to me.

If it does become a court case, perhaps it would fall under Invasion of Privacy. You might let her know that there would be legal consequences to her if she were to post this video and that you would have no hesitation in taking legal action.

It would depend on who was at fault for the accident. You state that the person driving your car got in an accident but you don't give any details of the accident. If the person who hit your driver is at fault, then his insurance pays. Hopefully the person driving your car had insurance... View More

Yes, it would be an intentional tort. However, such a tort would not be covered under someone's homeowner's policy and unless this person has funds you would be chasing a goose egg.

I don't think it is a strong case for small claims. It is an inherent risk to participating in sporting events. Are you and the other family renters or home owners? Have you spoken to the other family and do they know of the injury? They might agree to pay something rather than get sued.

Q: Is filming your or another person's interactions with law enforcement legal in Connecticut?

With the ever-increasing concerns over public safety and the growing "police state" a lot of people opt to document their encounters with police as a means to keep both sides honest and safe. Is it legal to film considering there is no reasonable expectation of privacy while on the job?

Yes, there are court cases and also new legislation in CT. You have a First Amendment right to film/record the police. You can't interfere with the police investigation but if you stand away from the scene you do have a right to film police.
