Q: What is the Sentencing for a first time theft by taking misdemeanor charge
Robbie Levin
Robbie Levin
answered on Nov 28, 2021

Maximum sentence is 12 months in jail and a $1000 fine. Although if you have no record you would not be sentenced that harshly.

It is however, very damaging to have a theft conviction on your record. I strongly suggest that you hire an attorney to help keep your record clean.
