A: Unfortunately, the answer is "it depends". Is there permanent scarring? Has it healed completely? How old are you? What do you do for a living? What are the medical bills if any? These are just some of the questions that would need to be answered in order to evaluate the claim.

A: Look in the mirror and ask yourself, "How much would you have to pay someone to get that scarring?" Add that figure to your medical bills and that is a starting place. The prior "depends" answer is totally accurate, but if you are looking for a number, that is a place to start. Always keep in mind that you rarely get what you ask for, so leave room for negotiation!
