A: Without money, no one will help you for a bankruptcy except to perhaps point you in the right direction. The first step being to figure out which bankruptcy chapter you can file. Do an internet search for the online means test and fill it out accurately to see if you can qualify for chapter 7. I have links to the necessary forms at my website, deltonabankruptcylawyer.com. The filing fee for a chapter 7 can be waived. The forms are very confusing, but it can be done, with guidance, and I would be glad to help.

A: Try legal aid or the bar association in the county where you live. Sometimes they provide you or direct you to someone who will provide you free services or low cost services. If you are filing a chapter 13, many attorneys will also accept your case for little money down.

A: Speak with your county bar association. They have Pro Bono Programs that they can refer you to.
