Falls Church, VA asked in Traffic Tickets for Virginia

Q: Q: I was stopped for a moving violation in Virginia on a suspended license. I have a California DL

I'm an active duty military who have a clean driving record until yesterday. My car is registered in VA and because of their Isurance Verifiacion Program my license/ driving previledge is supended due some lapse in insurance coverage after buying a new car. Now in order for me to drive again, I must pay a $600 reistatement and processing fee. Either way im screwed.. My question is.. if my Va driving previledge is supended in VA and for me to able to drive again_ can i turn in my VA license plates and registraion to uplift my drivingsuspension, and then register my car to Washington DC for reinstatement since my DL in California is not suspended?

A: Your privleges to drive in VA have been suspended. That means you cannot drive in VA on an out of state valid license.
