Sun City Center, FL asked in Business Law for Florida

Q: How do I stop just anyone filing with state and changing LLC and owning my business? It just happened. NO Reason it!

I have LLC with two partners that runs a car dealership, recently another individual filed with state and put herself on LLC and removed all other parties from LLC stating she owns the company. Sheriff let her carry stuff out of my business and said he would not stop her as she is listed as a member now. State said she can ad herself at any time in future even if i remove her from LLC. How do I protect my Business... She owns nothing, and tells lenders she owns half of business and is taking offers on my cars...How can this be legal

A: You need to actually go see an attorney about this problem. This is not a fast food restaurant where you can get what you want to eat right away. The facts need to be learned and legal conclusions made.
