Q: Can I reduce my child support order by judge I do not have a job.

A: You might. You'd have to ask the court for a reduction of your support based on you having no income. However, if you have the ability to work (e.g. no health problems, etc), the court will probably make you go and find work so be prepared to prove that you are indeed looking for work.

If you google the "Department of Child Support Services" along with the name of your county (e.g. San Diego County), you should get the website of the child support department in your county. Many of these sites have a modification packet you can download, fill out, and submit. You might also be able to go directly to the family court in your county. Many family courts have packets of forms meant to address common requests (e.g. modify child support).
