Huntsville, OH asked in Traffic Tickets for Ohio

Q: Can I pay for the speeding ticket on the court date?

Hi my name is Alyssa and I just recently got my first traffic ticket. I got the ticket and I went to pay for my ticket Saturday morning before I had just got paid on Friday night and realized that the court was closed. I then proceeded to try to pay for it onli me that night and for some reason would not let me pay for it. And if I mailed in the money I knew it wouldn't get there in time. My court date is tomorrow morning. If I go in there and plead guilty and pay for it even though it wasn't before hand will I still have to go in front of a judge? All I want to do is post for it and get side with it... This whole situation has been a nightmare!

A: If the ticket is a normal traffic ticket, you should be able to pay it at court without any trouble. Given that your driving record is clean, however, you may want to at least ask the prosecutor if he or she will reduce it to a non-moving violation so you can avoid points.
