Q: Does a court appointed personal representative (widow)have the right to sell property before closing of Probate Case ?
We have the Letter of Administration appointing the widow as the personal representative of the deceased Estate. We have placed a contract to purchase the investment home (duplex). Does she need to request the court for additional permission to sell this property?
A: I would have to review all of the facts and circumstances, as well as the complete probate file, in order to answer fully.
