Arab, AL asked in Family Law for Alabama

Q: Question on child custody, visitation and drugs.

This is just one incident. My ex, an addict on drugs and pills, had visitation and gave my son ,16, and his friend drugs and drove them to my house, dropped them off while I was out of town and the teens stayed out all night in the cold, on drugs as well. My ex told me he didn't realize he was that stoned to not notice I wasn't home. My son informed me his Dad gave him drugs. I just had a hearing and the judge gave my ex supervised visitation with his father as the supervisor. His father is 89 yrs old and my ex takes care of him. I had no say about the guardian and my lawyer said was the best we could do. Are drugs not child endangerment or abuse? My son will not tell or talk to anyone but me as he is afraid of his Dad. We were divorced for abuse, cruelty to children and adultery. Any general advice would be helpful. Thank you.

A: You are asking me to second guess your lawyer and I'm not going to do that. If you put all of the facts in front of the Court, you did the best you can do.
