Q: My boyfriend threatened to shoot me with a shotgun in April 2015. Can I press charges in June 2015?
He received a call from the DA advisng he was implicated in a crime. I was at work and had no idea. He got mad. He picked me up from work drunk. I drove home and he threatned to hit me in the car. The next moring I said I was driving myself to work. He called me a "B" and said he was driving. He walked into the bedroom, picked up the shotgun and said if I said another word he would empty the clip in me. I left the house and went outside into the driveway. He followed me. I went back into the house and left for the day.
A: The statute of limitations on most felonies is 3 years. This was a felony, and what you can do is report it to the police.
