Q: Can my husband give me his tempory custody of his kids from a previous marriage

My husband and I are not living in the same home. However he has shared custody of his kids from a previous marriage. when he has the kids the kids are in my care and live in the home with me. I have and will have the kids for the entire summer. Can he temporary sign his rights of the children to me? and does it require us to file a motion with the courts or can we submitt and Appointment of guardianship and/or temporary total custody form?
