Q: Once ADCYF comes to your home to investigate a report, how many days after that can they remove your child
Dcyf came to my home about 3 weeks ago responding to a complaint. Said they didnt believe it. Thats it, haven't. heard a thing. No letters, no nothing. My question is can they come back like say 3 months later, take my child @ say its because of a report thats over 3 months old. Whats the law ? How many days do they have
A: The department has discretion to remove children if they determine that they are in imminent danger. Speak tot he investigator to learn whether the case will be opening or whether it was determined to be "unfounded." They usually leave their business cards when they come to do an investigation.
