Q: What is the federa law pertaining to the release of a home-made weapon seized by police that was used to commit a crime?
After my nephew was sentenced, the feds (either intentionally or inadvertently) allowed my nephew's girlfriend to retrieve the home-made weapon from police property. my grandson was hurt by this device two months ago.my question is this, according to the federal statutes, did law enforcement error in releasing a home-made weapon back to the perpetrator's family? I would like to know the law on this because it shows who is liable. Thank you very much.
