Saint Paul, MN asked in Car Accidents for Minnesota

Q: I have had two accidents, one a car accident in February of 2014 where I was rear ended.

The insurance company has paid my medical bills and reimbursed Medicare, The adjustor has been calling requesting a settlement. Do I need an attorney as I am not sure if Medicare has been fully reimbursed, also what I am not sure what my rights are.

The second accident was a fall at the Mall of America. I was attending an AARP class while they were replacing the tile. The contractor had pulled up the old tile and before replacing it had laid a carpet down to cover the rise. I stumbled and feel on my right knee and later had to have a hip replacement. There were no caution signs put up until after my fall. Here again, I am not sure of my rights and do not have the money to hire an attorney. What can I do?

Thank you for any help you can give me.

A: You should definitely consult with a local injury lawyer about your rights and options. Most offer free consultations, so you are not obligated to hire them.
