Q: Does Child Support Dept in Florida take in to account cost of living difference from state to state?
I live in RI and my child and ex live in Florida. I pay child support on my own but in order for her to get additional benefits the state wants to sign me up for child support.
Do Florida take into count the cost of living is different from FL to RI when making up their calculation for child support? Meaning 50K anually doesnt go far here in RI compared to FL. Is there a set calculation that I can view?
