Hollywood, FL asked in Landlord - Tenant for Florida

Q: Person who signed lease as lessor is not the owner, a corporation is. Any legal recourse?

We've been leasing a mobile home, our lease is up on the 31st and we are moving to a different county. We have surrender agreement clause in our lease that says no agreement is valid unless inspected and signed off by land lord. I gave her proper written 30 day notice and have contacted her repetedly about the walk through and surrender premises agreement wich she has ignored. We've been in contact when it comes to showing the premises but she has ignored all other contact. Furthermore, upon notice from the HOA our "land lord" is not the property owner. The property is owned by a corporation. The premises is in better condition than when we moved in (picture evidence) what is the best way to ensure we get our deposit back?? We were counting on the money for moving expenses.

A: I would have to actually see the agreement in order to answer your initial question. You have already done what you can do to ensure that you get the deposit back.
