My husband and I have been separated for 17 year. I have not been employed 9 years, No kidsNo 401K or bank accounts. 1. Can I request my husband to pay for the divorce? 2. My husband sold his parents(both deceased) home in 4/2015 for $455K, am I entitled to any of the proceeds? We were together in the same home for 9 years(he purchased before we married). Can I request part of his 401K, healthcare through his employer? What am I entitled to?

A: You can certainly try to seek those things, but the one big fact that works against you is that you and he have been separated for so long already. You'll need to explain why, after 17 years, you have not become financially self-sustaining and instead want to rely on your husband.
