Columbus, OH asked in Traffic Tickets for Ohio

Q: if i have an unpaid traffic ticket in cincinnati from a year ago and I just turned 21 is it erased?

I received a seat belt ticket august 26th 2014 at 3:00AM. I was originally pulled over because of my loud muffler which i was given a warning but still issued a seat belt ticket. However i never paid the ticket and later found out i had a warrant when i called to see how much the cost would be. I just turned 21 august 22nd 2015. Now that I'm working, I went to the website to look up the total amount i still owe so i can renew my license and get my sticker for my car tags and when i used my license plate, first and last name, and my ticket number nothing appeared in the system.. does this mean it was erased?

A: Tickets and warrants do not magically disappear when you turn. However, many judges lift old warrants from minor cases from time to time and simply send the ticket to a collection agency.
