Asked in Family Law for Florida

Q: My childs father has temporary custody and will not bring the child for visitation what should I do?

The father and I were sexually active at the time of our hearing and promised me I could see my child anytime I desired or asked. I did not fight him and his lawyer in court and agreed to temp custody and visitation. We havent followed that order since that day he has given me more time with the child and stayed longer for visitation. As long as he gets what he wants he was letting me see her alot more than the court order had agreed on and then would tell me I couldn't see her longer when we were not sexually active. I kept my child on our last visit due to me being scared he would not let me see her at all. I was forced to give her back because he has temp custody and now he will not bring her for the 4 hours he is required and wants to ask judge for the visitation center. I am a great mom I have made mistakes and did wrong but I have never hurt my children or anything. They are well take care of. I have no money for lawyer please help me

A: Perhaps legal aid in your community can help you. None of the attorneys on this website do work for free for people, and what you have described requires a lot of work. Many offer free initial consultations, so perhaps you should set up a few appointments and find out what you need to do, which is probably to file a motion for enforcement.
