Q: How do I find the information on line concerning a will? My godmother died in NC (she had left me in her will)
I did not know about a will and I had not seen her for 22 years. Another god child who I did not know contacted me. She sent me a renunciation to qualify form. It seems that a revised will was rejected by the court and I may have listed as a executor of the original will. I have not seen the will or been contacted by the court, I was told this by the god niece. I did ask her to send me all information including a copy of the will, I live in Maryland but I have not received it for her.
How should I proceed?
A: Does the form have on it the location of the court and a case number? Contact the clerk of that court and arrange to have a copy of the file sent to you.
